Paediatric sleep - what is normal?

Aims and Objectives:

Teaching Methods: will be delivered in a series of illustrated talks with interactive sessions, questions and answers. Handouts will be available.

0900 - 0930 Registration and coffee.

0930 - 1000 Sleep biology and physiology. Dr Chris O’Brien, Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician, Great North Children’s Hospital.

1000 - 1040 Normal infant sleep. Prof Helen Ball, Parent-Infant Sleep Lab, Durham.

1040 - 1055 Coffee break.

1055 - 1130 Normal adolescent sleep. Dr Jason Gane, Consultant General Paediatrician, Great North Children’s Hospital.

1130 - 1205 Metabolic consequences of inadequate sleep. Dr Anne-Marie Ebdon, Consultant Respiratory Paediatrician, Great North Children’s Hospital.

1205 - 1245 Lunch

1200 – 1245 Lunch.
