0910 – 0915 Introduction.

0915 - 1000 Write up and Rise: Creativity, Resilience and Young People. Emily Wiseman, Project Producer of New Writing North’s Young Writers City at Excelsior Academy

1000 – 1030 Talking HEADSS in those with vulnerabilities. Dr Kim Barrett, Designated Doctor for Safeguarding, Sunderland .

1030 – 1050 Coffee break.

1050 – 1120 Health skills and preparing LACYP for translation. Anne Foreman, Designated Nurse for LAC, North Tyneside CCG and Dr Belinda Bateman, Designated and Named Doctor for LAC, Northumbria Trust

1120 – 1200 Interesting cases and learning points. Dr Ben Shillitoe and Dr Laura Astall, Paediatric Trainees and Dr Paula Drummond, Consultant Paediatrician and Medical Advisor to the Adoption Agency, Great North Children’s Hospital (GNCH)

1200 – 1245 Lunch.

1245 - 1330 Operation Sanctuary. Dr Caroline Grayson, Designated Doctor for Safeguarding, GNCH

1330 – 1400 LAC and the wider picture. Alice Wiseman, Director of Public Health, Gateshead Council

The study days are conducted on a monthly basis by the School of Paediatrics. This is an excellent provision for both established healthcare professionals, trainees and Associated Medical Professionals.
